CATHOLIC ARCHDIOCESE OF ACCRA 120TH ANNIVERSARY CELEBRATION

The Metropolitan Archbishop of Accra in conjunction with the Archdiocesan 120th Anniversary Implementation Committee announces the Opening Ceremonies and Other Activities for December 2012 as follows:

A.   OPENING CEREMONIES

i.      Deanery Level

Saturday, 1st December, 2012 @ 2pm

Processions through the entire Archdiocese to the following Deanery Grottos –

i)      St. Margaret – Mary Parish, Dansoman

ii)     Christ the King Parish, Cantonments

iii)    St. John the Evangelist Parish, Adenta

iv)    St. Joseph the Worker Parish, Community 8, Tema

v)      Our Lady of Assumption Parish, New Achimota

 

ii.           Parish Level

Sunday, 2nd December

Parish Opening Ceremony at all Masses. Where Local Organising Committees have not been already inaugurated, Parish Priests are to endeavour to do so at the above Masses.

 

B.   OTHER ACTIVITIES  planned for the Month of December, 2012 are

Sunday, 23rd December: Children’s Day (Parish Level)

Saturday, 29th December: Archdiocesan Carnival

Venue: EL- Wak Stadium

Side Attractions:

Cultural Festival

Food Bazaar

Brass Band Music/Dance

Etc.
