Ongoing Formation for Catholic Priests of the Accra Archdiocese

The Business and Faith Development Centre of the Catholic Institute of Business and Tecnology (CIBT), has organised an ongoing formation for priests of the Catholic Archdiocese of Accra. The seminar was in two sessions of five days each for priests under five years and above five years of ordinations respectively.

Opening the session, the Director of the Business and Faith Development Centre stated that it is in keeping to his responsibility as the Chief Schepherd of the Catholic Archdiocese of Acra that the Archbishop, Most Rev. Gabriel Charles Palmer-Buckle, has given the opportunity to his priests to update themselves so that they would be more effective in the discharge of their pastoral duties.

The facilitators were Monsignor Dr. Jonathan Ankrah, who took the priests through marriage in the Canon Law and Very Rev. Dr. Vincent Owusu SVD talked about liturgy. He discussed with the priests how their liturgical celebrations should be in tune with the rubrics of the Roman Liturgical norms. There was also a discussion on how the priests could foster congenial and brotherly relationship among themselves.
